Signs of Life part 4 – Postmodern Faith

Happy Monday! Mike here again. Today we’re going to look at blogs that examine what it can mean to be people of faith, hope, and love in the 21st century. This will be a difficult niche to narrow down, as there are literally thousands of blogs that have exploded in the last seven years exploring what some call ‘emergent’ or ‘emerging’ or ‘missional’ faith. But off the top of my head, here are some blogs and sites you don’t want to miss:

Web ‘Zines

TheOOZE and TheOOZEtv

Church & Pomo

Ginkworld

Jesus Manifesto

Next-Wave

Queermergent

Radical Grace

Soul Pancake

The Porpoise-Diving Life

Transform Network

Wrecked for the Ordinary

Print Magazines

Conspire

Geez

Generate

Blogs:

Julie Clawson – One Hand Clapping

Gareth Higgins – God is Not Elsewhere (see also his awesome film review podcast, The Film Talk)

Jonny Baker

The Website of Unknowing – Anamchara – Carl McColman

Sarcastic Lutheran – Nadia Bolz-Weber

Pete Rollins

Spoke – Christopher MacDonald

Kester Brewin

Danielle Shroyer

Christian Nonduality-John Sylvest (see also his Cathlimergent social network!)

Brian McLaren

Whew! That’s a lot of reading! Update your RSS readers, though – you’ll be glad you did!

  1. Hey man, thanks for the link love. JesusManifesto has been somewhat dormant lately, so I’m pumped that you still felt we deserved a shout out. By the way, for those interested, a couple things are happening in February (hopefully in time for Lent) on JesusManifesto: 1) We’re launching our podcast (the iconocast) and 2) we’re going to have a shift in editorial emphasis. Stay tuned…

thanks for the shout out bro – this conversation, that i am calling the “conceptual conversation” is vital for the the faith in the coming decades – and beyond.

    Hi
I enjoyed the link called “Radical Grace.” I remember picking up Richard Rohr’s works a few years ago. He enjoys Divine Paradox. While people run rampant to figure out Paradox, or get rid of it. He just remains in Contemplation of it. Mike this is Awesome stuff!

LOL Ariah – Your blog practically transcends being a blog at all – I should’ve listed it in the ‘zines section! Can you ever forgive me? :)
