Today is a new day, a new series of present moments wherein the Unnamable is poised to teach us the ways of wisdom, the treasures of truth. All we need to do to receive is awaken.
In all we’re about to encounter there will be a lesson. For instance, our angst will be received as a gentle nudge from Presence of our need to be more trusting. Should anger arise it will be a gracious reminder that we can relax, for we are never called to be ‘in charge’ or to grasp for the knowledge of good and evil so that we might become the Teacher rather than the taught. When we realize that it is not ours to argue and control but ours to accept, anger and resentment begin to fade.
If we will awaken to the present moment, then a thousand faces throughout this day will hold the potential for a profusion of life’s lessons to be learned. For instance, when we recognize joy and delight on the face of another, we receive the lesson of true wealth, understanding that abundance is everywhere falling in upon us. There is abundance in laughter for it is shared with friends. There is abundance in joy because its home, too, is relational – with the divine and those made in the image of the divine. Look around you – abundance is everywhere.
Even faces of stress will bring us enlightenment for, once revealed for the ‘choice’ that it is, stress will seldom be allowed to take up residence within again. Why would we choose it if we knew we had the power not to? The story of life is ours for the framing!
In the urgency of others we will learn the freedom that comes from serving the true self rather than the false self we have too often allowed others to magnify within us. And when we see others frayed and fried we will say a silent prayer that they might learn the great lesson of reframing their story too, remembering that while the lesson is theirs to learn, it is not ours to teach. Today, the teaching is for us. It is our time with the Divine. Intimacy abounds if we will but awake.
As we become conscious of this present moment we will learn the value of stillness. It can happen anywhere. Deep breaths, a relaxed countenance; a certain oneness that begins to enter ‘in’ that it might take us ‘out’ – out of ourselves that we might discern our connection with all things. From stillness we learn that we are much more than our form. We are eternal and in centered stillness we come to possess this truth as perhaps never before.
There is so much to be learned on this Teaching Tuesday. And when we consider that the Source of all life is the One blessing us, nurturing us, teaching us with these insights – we can approach this day, this uniquely sacred day – with more reverence than we ever dreamed possible.
It’s Teaching Tuesday. May the revelation(s) be profound!

Thank you for beginning my day with these wonderful words. The teacher is here, the student is ready.

“…a certain oneness that begins to enter ‘in’ that it might take us ‘out’ – out of ourselves that we might discern our connection with all things.”
Your words are a peaceful and enriching beginning to this Tuesday morning. As you remind us, there IS so much to be learned in this moment when we approach all that unfolds with reverence. May we have the grace to recognize the countless opportunities in which to awaken to the One.
Delighted to be with you and all our friends here at Post Christian Blog.
